Hello, Lisa here today!!
We have a new blog feature for you. We are looking back over the month at what we’ve created with our kits and picking out a favourite and then talking about what makes that our favourite project of the month. I find this a really good way sometimes if I’m stuck. I look back over my older work, pick out some favourites and ask myself why. I then use these techniques, colour combos, the sketch or whatever it was that made this a favourite as use that as my starting block. This really works for me. It’s always interesting to see.
This 12×12 is my favourite piece made from this month’s kit.
I started off by using this month’s sketch here. A sketch is always a good source of inspiration for me. I really enjoyed creating this grid design and decorating within each square. It was a really easy way to scrap. It came together very fast and effortlessly. It made where to put the photo and journaling super easy and I love the way it looks. I will definitely be using this design again.
Kelli also chose a grid design but so so different to mine.
She’s created a 12×12 but created each square as a flap that lifts. It’s such a sweet idea and so unique. A really fun way to get more on a page too.
Brook has tackled this with a whole different meaning and I love that.
Brooke say’s ”Instead of picking my favourite project from this month, I chose one of my favourite pieces from the kits and built a layout around it. I loved the chipboard leaves and knew I wanted to show ‘em off!”.
I love this idea so much. Such a great wat to start a layout too but find something in the kit that really catches your eye.
I really hope that you will enjoy this new blog feature of our’s. We would love to know…what’s your favourite piece in this month’s kit?
Love Brooke’s layout and approach to the topic! Thank you so much for sharing!
