I Love Fall Most of All | Mini Book Inspiration

Good Morning and happy Saturday, All! Fall is my favorite season and it’s in full swing here in the PNW! I love it! And, I really love taking photos during fall, almost as much as I love making mini books! Today I have a mini book using the September Memory Keeping kits, a few bits and pieces from the October planner kits and a few things from my own stash. I’ve added a few photos, but it’s really intended to be able to add photos and journaling, as the season progresses.

Let’s get to it!

Just layer a few bits over a silver doily, add a journal card and numbers for the title/cover of this mini. It’s super simple.

I love using the glassine packaging for pages and I cut down a few 4×6 pocket pages to fit this little book. If the pock page holes don’t line up, cover them with cute washi tape and re-punch. Simple as that! The leather tag is just a sample from a leather notebook company I had laying on my desk and the color was perfect for my fall mini. Just pop it on the binder ring!

More layers, pocket pages, glassine bags and a shipping tag. I stained my shipping tags with Distress Stain before adding them to the book. The orange one was too bright, so I put a layer of vellum I had on hand over it and now it’s perfect!

The October calendar card is the one thing I added from the October Memory Keeping Pocket Kit. The large fox card is from the October Planner add on kit.

If your pocket page is still a little too wide, after trimming it down, don’t be afraid to cut off the strip with the holes and punch new holes, after added you cards and photos to the pockets.

Don’t be afraid to turn your cards in the opposite direction as intended. The galaxy card had something in the center that was sideways, once I turned it, so I covered it with a little embellishment cluster of my own.

Now, I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Share your projects on the Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping Collections Fan Page on Facebook and tag me. I’d love to see your work!

Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather, wherever you are!

What size album are you using? It’s lovely!

Thanks, Jenna! The book is about 5×7 and the pages are approximately 4×6, but have used different sized pages for a fun layered look.
