One of my favorite things about the kits each month are the exclusive patterned papers. June’s kit features fun, bold, summery colors and one of the papers jumped right out of the box at me, the exclusive Botanical paper is just too fun!  You can see a peek of it up there in the upper left hand corner.

When working with papers with a bold pattern, I like to look for elements I can cut out and use as embellishments.  The gorgeous flowers were just calling to me to so I cut them out, layered them and then added embellishments to the center of the top one to give it more dimension.  I rolled up the edges of the top flower to give the effect that it was blooming.  The reverse side of the paper is equally as awesome, that orange and white circle gives you a hint as to what it looks like!

If you choose the Day In The Life kit you will also receive the Botanical paper in a 6×6 version.  I cut a 3×4 card from the paper and then layered elements from the Day In The Life kit on it to create a card for one of my pockets.

I love that this paper can go from fun and whimsical to graphic just depending on how you use it, I know you will love it too and cannot wait to see it pop up in the gallery on your projects!
