Product Focus with Lisa – Gold Glitter

Hi, it’s Lisa here with you today adding a little sparkle to the blog.

It’s my turn today to share with you how I used the magical bag of golden glitter that comes in the April Main Kit. Ok, so it may not contain actual magic, but it does contain ultra fine glitter with teeny weeny stars : )

I decided to make some cards this month. I’ve been really bad at sending out cards lately. I have this thing that I can’t buy cards, it just feels so wrong when I have everything that I need at home to make them, but then I often struggle to find the time to make them. So this month I’m trying to be better organised. I grabbed some small kraft card blanks and used 4 of the cards from the ‘DITL’ Kit. These make super quick cards. I also used this months stamps.

I’d trimmed down some white 12×12 bazzill from a previous LO that I’d made, so used this to punch out 4 small hearts and stuck them on each card using some thick 3d foam tape.

I then added a thick layer of glossy accents to the whole of the heart.

And then for the magical bit, I sprinkled with glitter. (i did this on clean card so that I could scoop the excess up after and not waste any).

And here’s my instagram photo that I posted whilst making the cards. Gotta love the glitter!!

Incase you aren’t familiar with glossy accents, it does take some time to try, but once it has, it sets wonderfully. The glitter and stars are held neatly in place.

Here are the finished cards.

And some closeups.

I hope you have found this helpful. You can add this glitter to any shapes and use on your scrapbooking LO’s or Project Life pages too.

Don’t forget the Main Reveal tomorrow night. I’m sure you’ve been enjoying the glimpses of the new kit these past couple of days : )

Have a magical & sparkly day.

Beautiful Lisa! Thanks for the tip! Now I definitely want to try glitter on my projects. I use to avoid it because of the mess;)
