Teaming Up With…

This month Denise, Emily, Christine and myself teamed up to play with ‘arrows’.

I really love using arrows on my LO’s. They are so fun and great at drawing attention to the smaller details. They come in so many forms from wood vaneer & chipboard to paper and stickers. They are everywhere.

Let’s have a look how we each used them from this months Blueprint Kit.

Denise has such a playful artsy style. The arrows she used on this LO both came from stamps. The smaller arrows are the stamps that come with the main kit and the larger arrows were from the November kit but are also sold on their own here. I love how these are part of the background, but used for journaling on too.

Emily’s fun LO is next.

Emily says, ”I used the obvious die cut arrows, but also used the paper as an arrow of sorts. I positioned the photo so his shadow is lined up where the lines would intersect in the middle of the page, so all the circles with their connecting lines become like arrows, directing the eye to his shadow.”

I used the arrow from the ‘You are hear’ journal card from the Day in the Life kit. I stitched around the edge to give a little contrast and help it stand out more pointing to my main focus on the LO, my photo.

The blue arrows at the bottom are cut from the Chevron Crate paper that comes with the main kit, so not arrows as such, but cut and used to make them appear to be arrows. I also used the same arrow stamps as Denise that come in the main kit.

Lastly we have Christine’s LO which has to be my favourite LO in this months gallery. Christine used the same ‘Day in the Life Cards’ but trimmed them down. I just love how this looks. Such a great design and those arrows are perfect.

There you have it, four LO’s from this months kit using arrows in different ways. They can be used to embellish, to draw attention, to journal or add titles. They are so versatile.

Thanks for stopping by.
