Hello everyone! Martha here sharing a couple of tips for how to use one of my favorite elements in the Paint Chip add-on, the Teresa Collins sequins. They are so pretty that I put them in a vintage heart shaped tin on my scrap table, with it being February they became a Valentine decoration…not really a tip or a trick but they make me happy!
Not only do I love the colors of these sequins but I love that they are larger sized which gives you the opportunity to play around with some different techniques when you adhere them to your project. On one of my projects I used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and stapled them directly on to my layout. I used 2 staples to create an “x” pattern.
On another one of my projects I created embellishments by sewing the sequins on top of diamond shapes cut from one of the papers in the Color Swatch kit. Once I cut out the diamond, I placed a sequin on top and ran them through my sewing machine. I sewed several at a time, one after another, and just cut them apart when finished. I then adhered them to my layout with foam pop dots to give them some dimension. Clustering a few of them together added depth and sparkle to my layout.
I hope you enjoyed these tips and I cannot wait to see how you use the sequins on your projects!
I love the large size of some of those sequins! Really shows when compared to the Tiny Attacher staples. The diamond shaped embellishments you made are simply AWESOME!! Love it!!
