Product Focus with Alissa – GOLD

Good morning, All!! Did you enjoy the reveal last night? I LOVE the May kits so much! Christine has done it again. And, the thing I loved the most about the kits was the sprinklings of gold throughout. Any of you that have been following me for awhile know how much I love gold in my scrapbooking. I think I got hooked over a year ago, when there was not much gold in scrap supplies yet. Now, there is a ton of gold and this girl’s gold loving heart is so happy for it!

Still not on the gold train? Or, maybe you need some ideas to include gold without it taking over your page or looking like something that rivals the Mandalay Bay in Vegas (yes it’s GOLD!). I’ve got a couple ideas for you today.

On this page, I covered 2 of the chipboard speech bubbles with the gold/mustard yellow ink, (It’s in the main kit, too!) and the 3rd one with Gold Glitter Zing embossing powder. It sparkles but, it’s not over powering.

Here’s another view of the sparkly gold speech bubble.

I also used a bit of gold ink splattered on the page and a few of the gold studs from the main kit and a few gold sequins from the Locale add on.

Lastly, I added a couple of the butterfly sequins from the same set in the Locale add on to my journal tag and a gold paper clip from my stash to hold the tag in the glassine bag.

That’s it from me for today. But, you will find more examples of the all the gold in my gallery this month. And, there will be more gold focused blog posts this week from a few more design team girls. There are so many more great gold accents in all the kits this month that I’m sure you will love!

Are you feeling better about gold, now? 🙂 I can’t wait to see all the gold in your galleries this coming month. It really is my favorite metal to scrapbook with!

I hope you have an awesome day and got all you wanted at the reveal last night! 🙂

I just realized Cocoa Daisy isn’t coming up in my feed. I had to go to add notifications with my “like”
