Hello Daisies! Happy Halloween! Are you all ready for the big night? I don’t think I’ve purchased any candy since last Halloween and I had to pick some up for the “trick or treaters” today. It was a little weird. Oh well, the kids will be happy and my team at work will be happy for the leftovers next week.
On to the topic at hand. I love mini books and I know many of you do too. I love creating mini books to celebrate a month or a season or a general topic. They’re so fun to look back on to see what our life was like during a short period of time, all in one little cute book. Today’s mini book is a Fall book.
The cover was created with packaging from Crate Paper and the pages are different patterned papers and DITL cards from the kits. Stitched together in the center of all the pages with my sewing machine. The diamond tag came with my gold Kikki K planner. 🙂 I had to save it for something. It’s so cute!
I pulled out my trusty gold spray paint and painted the Heidi Swapp wood veneer “hello” for the title.
Just a few favorite memories from this fall of 2014.
I love layering on the pages of my mini books. It just ends up being a little thick sometimes. 🙂
Don’t forget to use the DITL cards as patterned paper and to add ephemera to my pages and minis. So fun to look back on.
The die cut packs, like the Maggie Holmes ephemera pack in the Parkway add on are just perfect for mini books and DITL spreads. the Maggie Holmes ones are extra perfect with the variety of paper, vellum and gold foil die cuts. So fun! 🙂
Don’t forget to add a “full page” photo here and there, too.
This book is not yet complete because my fall is not complete. I loved the little bag from the planner kit and stapled it in to hold a few tags for journaling.
You can’t read it in the photo but it says “sad panda” under the photo of me. It certainly wasn’t a “favorite” moment for the Seahawks to lose 2 weeks in a row this fall, it was a moment that needed to be documented. It is part of my life, after all.
There you have it. Another fun little mini celebrating my fall of 2014. super easy to create and so fun to look back on in years to come.
Now, I want to see all of your mini books and projects made with the October kits. 🙂
Have a great day!
Alissa
Wow this is stunning. Love love love it, so very inspiring 🙂
Your albums are always so, so well done! The variety of page sizes and mix of patterns and embellishments is spot on. Love the title page and your ‘obsession’ with gold. 😉 It works beautifully every single mini, Alissa!
Always love your minis! Love the mix/match of papers, journal cards, embellies and cute photos. Great way to document life in 2014. Thank you!
